Welcome Message

I am honored to serve as President of the 13th Annual Conference of Japan Primary Care Association (JPCA 2022). The Organizing Committee and I have been preparing for the Conference with anticipation and a sense of responsibility. The theme of this year's Conference is "Core Value of Primary Care - Connecting Various Positions and Environments".

The need for family physicians and primary care providers has been reaffirmed in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and we are now expected to react responsibly. In the world of primary care, there are not only family physicians, hospital general practitioners and doctors, but also healthcare professionals that work in various environments such as nurses, pharmacists, dentists, etc. It is necessary to consider the different positions and their scopes, but moreover, it is the ideal time for us to assess what the true value of primary care is. Hence, we have planned the JPCA 2022 programme to bring the value of primary care across all positions and their environments into focus.

This is also our first time trying out a new conference format - a Hybrid Conference. We have prepared many online sessions - both live and on-demand; easily accessible for those who are unable to attend the Conference in person owing to family obligations or patient care.

The venue will be set with the atmosphere to facilitate new encounters and networking as well as scientific excitement and inspiration. Yokohama invites you to enjoy its ocean view and sea breeze. It would be great to reunite with your colleagues in such a city. I hope you become familiarized with the concept of JPCA 2022 by visiting our website.
